Crazy Bear

It seems every review of The Crazy Bear has to mention that they have Champagne on tap and serve fresh oysters. Now that's out of the way, it's worth saying it also has a massive range of cigars, and vodkas flavoured "in house" (including: Mars Bar, Jellybaby and chilli).

The decor is fun, and with a sense of irony, perhaps playing on the Crazy name, it goes a little over the top in places. The rampant (in a purely heraldic way) stuffed bear hanging above our heads was a particularly noticable feature.

This was a really fun night out, in an unusual place, with a friendly atmosphere. The tables are very close together, and on the Saturday night we went it was packed, which we enjoyed but might not be everyone's taste. The service was struggling to cope with the number of people - our bottle of wine got lost before we had finished it, but was very quickly replaced with a new one!

Food is either English or Thai - we went for a £25 per head set-menu Thai meal, which was excellent and very generously portioned.
