Eaitken/Reviews/Four Candles
eaitken's review of The Four Candles from February 2009
They've managed to make it seem surprisingly spacious inside, helped by the double-height bar area. Don't forget that there are tables upstairs.
Food came very quickly and was good value as one might expect.
Unusually for a Wetherspoon, there is no real cider at all, even in bottles.
They have a good range of real ales. Old Hooky and Abbot seem to be permanent fixtures and they have a few different guest beers on the go at any one time.
In February 2009, Greene King IPA was 99p/pint and Old Hooky and Abbot were £1.79/pint.
