''Reviewed 5 July 2004 by Socks'' The distinctive of Qumins which marks it out from being yet-another-Indian-restaurant is its decor. A stylish modern interior, matched by the furniture and accessories that could have come from [[Habitat]] or [[Central Furniture]] (although perhaps that just marks me out as being ignorant when it comes to nice furniture). In any case, the feel is not of a typical Indian restaurant and perhaps the customer pays a small premium for the surroundings. I say perhaps, because the premium might just be for the quality of the food - from the lightness of the poppodums through to the perfectly tender and wonderfully flavoured chicken in our main courses, the whole meal was a delight. Unfortunately the service wasn't up to the same standards, with missing chutneys arriving late and cutlery just being pushed across the table to us, but since everything else was excellent, this didn't really detract from the evening. Certainly one to be recommended for a smart evening out.
