Main information
Content:
When the Pink Giraffe first opened in 1998, they were a purely vegetarian restaurant. The name comes from the fact that the giraffe is a vegetarian animal, and pink is the owner's favourite colour. It was intended as what an anonymous visitor to this site describes as "a destination restaurant that was truly unique where a differential vegetarian menu was of paramount importance". (If you can figure out what that actually means, then you're doing better than me --[[Kake]].) Since then, they've added meat, fish, and poultry to the menu, though they've certainly not forgotten their vegetarian roots. The vegetarian menu includes a number of "mock meat" dishes as well as the usual vegetarian dishes, and vegetarians will be just as happy here as meat eater. Cocktails are available on certain nights of the week, including the Cosmopolitan and the unfortunately-named Orgasm. Takeaway delivery is available between 6pm and 11pm every day. Collections of takeaways are also welcomed during those hours and additionally between noon and 1:45pm. See also: * [http://gaztronomy.blogspot.com/2008/03/pink-giraffe-oxford.html Gaztronomy review]
