New-looking restaurant perched on top of two charity shops on Cowley Road. Large open-plan modern interior and dance floor, and a cosier bit at the front overlooking the road with more comfortable-looking seating. Ask-at-the-bar free WiFi, apparently. The sign says they serve coffee all day; cakes were visible when I stuck my head round the door. Looks as though it would be able to scale up to pretty big parties.
Cuisine is described as "Chinese, Indian, Thai & Continental Halal", or Pan-Asian; served in a buffet style for a set price. Enthusiastic and friendly bar staff.
"Live Jazz & Pop Music singer", for the New Year's festivities at least.
