This used to be the Wig and Pen, but was refurbished recently and reopend as Copa. Warm and pleasant, well-lit with nice deep-pile carpets. Distracting television machines hanging from the walls. Serves a resasonable range of continental beers and lagers. Better than average pub food, reasonably priced at GBP 5.95 for burger and chips, with a range of more interesting main dishes at around GBP 10.00. |

The beer can not be described as good (or even reasonable) value: I paid GBP 4.20 for a pint of bland continental lager. Somewhere to consider for food, but not a place to go for a serious drinking session. |

Drinks here are more expensive than your average pub, but not out of line with other places that serve continental beers. GBP 3 is typical for a drink (which may not be a pint), though the original entry for this pub claimed GBP 4.20 so caveat emptor. The only place in Oxford which serves Leffé Brune on tap, though [[Far From The Madding Crowd]] has it in bottles. |

May well appeal if the thought of drinking somewhere where they spell beer as 'bier' gets you going.
