They appear (early 2005) to have a food menu (that stops serving about 7pm) that looks good (though we didn't eat from it). There are three sizes of most mains regular, large and "kinbg sized". In the case of the burgers this appears to be a tripple burger.

There are some modern-looking leather sofas that are in the standard ikea-pub chocolate colour, yet also more traditional booths. Seems quite nice when quiet, though I'm not sure I would like it full.

Sometimes when you walk past of a Thursday evening there is a live band playing in the corner. They tend to be packed on these days so I have never evaluated the quality of the band.

A reasonably pleasant pub on the inside, marred by the huge numbers of customers who look about seventeen. Outside, in the attempt at a riverside terrace, there's a pergola, a trickle of river, a sign saying "THIS WAY TO THE SWAMP" and a Dulux dog at the top of the stairs.

It might be better if you go during school hours. (17.x.97)
