The Oxford Guide - Differences between Version 7 and Version 5 of Antiquity Hall

Version 7 Version 5

This is now [[Oxford Retreat]]
* Worthington Bitter £1.50
* Fullers London Pride £2.20
* Strongbow Cider £2.25

(Prices as of Februrary 2005)

A reasonably pleasant pub on the inside, marred by the huge numbers of customers who look about seventeen. Outside, in the attempt at a riverside terrace, there's a pergola, a trickle of river, a sign saying "THIS WAY TO THE SWAMP" and a Dulux dog at the top of the stairs.

It might be better if you go during school hours. (17.x.97)

They appear (early 2005) to have a food menu (that stops serving about 7pm) that looks good (though we didn't eat from it). There are three sizes of most mains regular, large and "king sized". In the case of the burgers this appears to be a triple burger.

There are some modern-looking leather sofas that are in the standard ikea-pub chocolate colour, yet also more traditional booths. Seems quite nice when quiet, though I'm not sure I would like it full.

Sometimes when you walk past of a Thursday evening there is a live band playing in the corner. They tend to be packed on these days so I have never evaluated the quality of the band.

[[PerfDave]] popped in here in May 2005 and wasn't impressed - the beer was pretty bad quality, and the barman cleaned our table while we were sat at it, spraying us with some sweet-smelling chemical goop, which I thought was pretty damn rude. Won't be going back there in a hurry, especially not with the [[Honey Pot]] round the corner.
