Historical version 4 of Café Orient (view current version)

  • Restraunts
  • Central

I'm not really that sure that I can write something here to give Café Orient justice. Hidden away at the end of George Street under the shadow of the Opium Den, Café Orient is one of my favourite oriental restraunts in Oxford. A simple variety of chinese and japanese dishes are on offer and although there is a "special's" board, it very rarely changes. A typical dish is chicken, beef or pork:

  • Teriyaki
  • Sweet and Sour
  • Black Been Sauce
  • Spring onion and ginger
  • Szechuan
  • Japanese style curry
  • Kung Bo

Also worth looking out for are the singapore style noodles. Most dishes cost roughly £4.90 and I seriously doubt you will find a better meal in Oxford at that price.
