Shocking as well, the bar tender refused to give out orange juice to a twentyone year old friend at around 10 p.m. because he thought her I.D. picture looked not like her. Even other documents didn´t convinced him so we were chased out of the bar. Don´t go there!!

Opened on 4th October as a refurbishment of The Pub Oxford, reverting to its original name. This name refers to this pub's position at the end of the peninsula created by Cowley and Iffley Roads.

It is similar to the new style Jericho Tavern, with a fair amount of decent beer (reportedly 4 cask beers including Deuchars IPA and Tim Taylors, and 12 continental draught beers including Paulaner and Franziskaner).

Sadly, on a recent visit here for Sunday lunch, the food was brought out cold, and no attempt was made to rectify this when it was brought to the staff's attention. Let's hope this was just a teething trouble, as otherwise the place is very smart.

NEW REVIEW 14/01/07- Shocking, bar tender considered Leffe to be served as 'any other lager', roast came out overcooked with no condiments, the friends we were sat with who ordered at the same time were served their meals thirty minutes later than ours. Yes the beer menu is impressive, but only when the tender knows how to serve it. Will definitely not go back for food, and if I do for drink I will probably end up giving the bar tender advice on how to serve it.
