This is a popular touristy spot during the summer, but students can also be regularly found here partly because they look after the punts of a few colleges less fortunate than those near the Cherwell. The Boathouse includes a very nice (but expensive) restaurant, a café, and (of course) a punt hiring station. Expect to queue for up to an hour if you turn up on a particularly sunny afternoon. It is situated on one of the best punting spots on the Cherwell - a nice leisurely punt is up to the Victoria Arms, and the more adventurous can spend a day punting up past the Victoria Arms to the ring road, then back down past the Cherwell Boathouse to the Rollers and back. For bonus points, go all the way past Magdalen College down to the Isis.
