This is a popular touristy spot during the summer, but students can also be regularly found here partly because they look after the punts of a few colleges less fortunate than those near the Cherwell. The Boathouse includes a very nice (but expensive) restaurant, a café, and (of course) a punt hiring station. Expect to queue for up to an hour if you turn up on a particularly sunny afternoon. It is situated on one of the best punting spots on the Cherwell - a nice leisurely punt is up to the Victoria Arms, and the more adventurous can spend a day punting up past the Victoria Arms to the ring road, then back down past the Cherwell Boathouse to the [Rollers]? and back. For bonus points, go all the way past Magdalen College, Magdalen College School, St. Hilda's College, Christ Church Meadow down to the Isis.
