The Oxford Guide - Differences between Version 9 and Version 8 of Coffee Republic (New Inn Hall Street)

Version 9 Version 8

-------------------------------------------------------------------
We visited Coffee Republic in New Inn Hall Street, Oxford this afternoon 28/11/07. It was the most discusting tea and coffee we have ever tasted. The tea pots, and trays we filthy, (bin them and get new),plus the glass that covered the cakes needed a good clean. We felt the whole shop needed a scrub. The teapots leaked all over the table when pouring. Would have been a safety issue if the water had been boiled in the first place. Metal teapots produce horrible tea, so suggest you invest in china ones. All we can say is thank goodness we did not eat in there too. We always thought your coffee shops were good, but will keep a wide birth from now on. What are you paying the manager for we ask? SACK HIM.

I should start by saying that I have nothing against Coffee Republic, my issues are just with this one shop. The only reason I reason I can think why I'd want to go here if it was raining, I couldn't be bothered to walk far and everywhere else was closed. Expect unbelievable slow service although I believe wearing a skirt makes the staff notice you a little more.

Located on the corner of New Inn Hall Street and George Street, you may wish to try the numerous cafés on Gloucester Green, walk to high street, the Covered Market, or even to the (very nice) coffee republic in Blackwell's.

When I (Dom) visited this place in December 2006 I had no complaints.

Has The Cloud wifi.
