The Oxford Guide - Differences between Version 10 and Version 2 of Duke's Cut

Version 10 Version 2

Used to be Rosie O'Grady's on Park End St. Now owned by Marston's brewery, and called The Duke's Cut.

Table service and four real ales.

Opened on 13th June 2009 -
a great refurb job and a cracking pub!

[[Kake]], Feb 2012: Two sides to this pub, with the bar in the
middle offering a view through from one to the other [http://www.flickr.com/photos/kake_pugh/6947315783/ photo]. Four handpumps on each side, today offering Brakspear Oxford Gold, Marston's "Single Hop" Galaxy (£1.65/half), Wytchwood Hobgoblin, and Ringwood Best. Cask Marque accreditation displayed on the pump clips. I ordered and paid at the bar, so the abovementioned table service seems not to be mandatory. The "snug" bar [http://www.flickr.com/photos/kake_pugh/6801166848/ photo] (on the right as you go in) has a wood fire (not in action on this warm-enough Spring day), a large flatscreen (this afternoon, showing sport with the sound on), an upright piano, a wooden unpadded armchair. two large sofas flanking a low coffee table, a number of barstools, and a single round table with four upright chairs. The floorboards are exposed and varnished, and the walls are panelled below and papered above. A poster advertises live music on Friday evening. Three other customers in this side when I arrived around 3:30pm on a Friday afternoon. There's also some outdoor seating along the side of the pub, overlooking the canal.

Accessibility: A step to get in, and two more steps to get to the loos. Ladies' has tiny cubicles with heavy doors.

Used to be Rosie O'Grady's on Park End St. Now owned by Wytchwood brewery, and called Rosie O Donnell's. They will be offering low brow chat and middle of the road "Humour". There will also be a fat person behind the bar at all times offering to break out into song at a moments notice. It looks great
