Version 10 Version 2

Pub on Gloucester Green popular with the goth/rock/metal scene. Reopened in November of 2008 after closing in April of the same year.
Oxford's rock, metal and biker pub. The Gloc is a small and dingy but friendly pub tucked away down Friars Entry behind the soulless [[Goose]]. It gets pretty packed most evenings, especially on weekends, but is a good place for a lunchtime or mid-afternoon pint.

The beer is cheap and there's not much range, however the Guinness is good and there's Addlestones for the zoider drinkers. The food however is stupidly cheap and pretty good quality - 6 quid for a 16oz rump steak, for example. There's also a fryup menu for weekend mornings. The food is so good value that it attracts people who wouldn't normally venture in the Gloc, and at one point there was a sign saying "If you're just here for the food, don't complain about the music. We like it."

There's a jukebox with a good selection of old and new punk,
rock and metal, and there are DJs several nights a week. It's also one of the friendlier pubs in Oxford - if you check your attitude at the door you'll find it a laid back piss-taking sort of place.
