Mid February 2008, the pub is closed with a sign outside saying it's under new management and due to reopen on the 21st. There's a massive clear-out going on with much of the garden vegetation cut back - already giving a lighter look to the place. Interestingly the contact e-mail address is the same as for the [[Isis Boat House]]. Watch this space! |
In Spring 2007, this pub was displaying a banner stating "Under new management", and in early May, the Oxford Mail [http://www.oxfordmail.net/news/headlines/display.var.1372610.0.isis_tavern_is_put_up_for_sale.php reported] that Greene King intends to sell this pub and that it "would ideally suit an individual operator looking to invest in and run a freehold." There was no food being served during a weekday visit around lunchtime and the signs outside keep changing from "kitchen open" to "kitchen closed". For now, I'd assume there's no food unless you check first! |
