Historical version 2 of Linacre College (view current version)
Linacre College was founded in October 1962. It is named after the outstanding Renaissance figure Thomas Linacre (1460-1524), and began life as a university department for graduate students. Linacre is a graduate only college and currently has around 350 postgraduate students. The current premises are on the corner of St Cross and South Parks Road.
Unlike older colleges, Linacre has a diverse multi-cultural community and welcomes students from all backgrounds and subject fields. It is well known for the quality of its food and bops (parties).
