Middle Common Room - Similar in function to the JCR but for graduates and mature students. As far as the author is aware the main difference between a JCR and MCR is the provision of comfy seating.
In some collges, there exist different names for this common room. For example, in Brasenose College it is the HCR - for Hulme Common Room.
