Historical version 12 of Najar's Place (view current version)

The small green shed that was shut for ages is now a small blue shed that is open. And what a gem it is too!

A range of tasty sandwich-type things, available in baguette, pitta or pannini form. Includes some fairly traditional fillings, but also some more exotic middle-eastern dishes: kibbeh, falafel (cooked fresh on the premises), tabbouleh etc. Try the pitta with falafel, hummous & spicy potato, with a dash of chilli sauce. Mmm.

Also a range of drinks (hot & cold), cookies, chocolate, cigarettes and so on. No longer serves soup, as far as I know. After comprehensive (ish) sampling, I've not found any dolmas (stuffed vine leaves) to match Najar's in central Oxford.

Staff are friendly. At least one of them works as a chef at the Euphrates when he's not here.

Plans are afoot to expand the range of cooked food available in the future.
