The Redbridge Tip (Waste recycling centre!) is the main place provided for Oxford residents to take their waste if it's not appropriate for it to be collected in the normal collections. For example, the tip takes certain items that should not be put into the kerbside waste collection (eg, batteries) and recycles others (eg Tetrapak containers) that would simply go into landfill if they were collected with the normal waste.
The opening hours are standardised 8am-5pm for every day of the week, including weekends, with additional "late night opening" until 8pm on Thursdays in April-September inclusive.
