Used to be "Chutney's 2".

Now (Aug 2006), looks closed and has a To Let sign in the window.

Some people rate this place highly. I am not quite so convinced but mainly use their lunchtime option. Unfortunately they sometimes are out of beer of a Wednesday lunchtime (I believe it is their delivery day).

One Joseph Arthur reports a tremendously successful visit here in October 2005. He praises the size and layout of the table, the service and both the quality and quantity of the food. He also points out that the restaurant seems to have a number of regulars on friendly terms with the manager: always a good sign.

Lunch special: £4.95 for a main dish (chicken/vegetable) with rice or naan (used to be and naan).

£2.50-ish for a pint of Kingfisher.
