The oldest building in Oxford, the saxon church of St. Michael At the Northgate is situated close to the location of the northern city gate. Admission to the church is free but entrance to the church tower tower costs £1.50 for adults, 80p for children and a family ticket is £4.

William Morris was married here and John Wesley preached here.
