Main information
Content:
The Inklings were a group of authors in Oxford who met twice weekly in either the [[Eagle and Child]] or [[C.S. Lewis]]'s room in [[Magdalen College]]. Formed at the beginning of the 1930s the Inklings were most active between 1939 and 1945. By 1949 the society had disappeared. The Inklings were [[C.S. Lewis]], Charles Williams and [[J.R.R. Tolkien]]. Others may also wish to include George MacDonald, G.K. Chesterton, Owen Barfield, Warren "Warnie" Lewis, Helen Joy Davidman Gresham, and Dorothy L. Sayers. See also [http://directory.google.com/Top/Arts/Literature/Authors/L/Lewis,_C._S./Inklings/ Google's listing] of Inkling WWW pages.
