Several anonymous posters agree that this coffee shop stands out from the crowd in Oxford, describing it as the best coffee in Oxford.
coming from Australia, I really struggled finding drinkable coffee in Oxford, but HERE IT IS. This place has the best coffee I've found anywhere in Oxford, and I REALLY searched hard. When they opened, there was a huge number of Australians texting each other to spread the word.

Visit the place, learn what real coffee tastes like, and then avoid certain chains that claim to sell "coffee".

The coffee itself is a much darker, bitter blend than most chains, definitely good for the mornings.

I have had a few cups from here and it is a very nice atmosphere, as the previous poster said the

After reading the first review I hunted this place down...and damn was it good. Can say without reservation that I had the best cappuccino of my life (by a substantial margin).

As regards the post above, it was probably, if you're used to cappuccinos in this country, the FIRST cappuccino of your life
- a cappuccino as it's meant to be, and not just a milky coffee with some aerated foam slopped out on top. The best coffee in Oxford by a country mile, and I wouldn't be surprised if it's amongst the best in this dismal country - it pushes the Monmouth coffee houses in London, for those that know them, close. Only problem is, it's small and there's only one of them - could the owners, if they're reading, please open a couple more!

For London: try any of the Antipodean-owned cafes: Milk Bar in Bateman St., Flat White
on Wardour St. (both in Soho), Sacred Coffee off Carnaby Street, Climpson & Sons in Hackney or Nude Espresso near Spitalfield Market.
