Coffee shop with dark, minimal decor.

coming from Australia, I really struggled finding drinkable coffee in Oxford, but HERE IT IS. This place has the best coffee I've found anywhere in Oxford, and I REALLY searched hard. When they opened, there was a huge number of Australians texting each other to spread the word.

Visit the place, learn what real coffee tastes like, and then avoid certain chains that claim to sell "coffee"

>>>>>>>>>>>>> I have had a few cups from here and it is a very nice atmosphere, as the previous poster said the coffee is good but not at all like your chain coffee. Its a much darker, bitter blend, definitely good for the mornings.

After reading the first review I hunted this place down...and damn was it good. Can say without reservation that I had the best cappuccino of my life (by a substantial margin).

As regards the post above, it was probably, if you're used to cappuccinos in this country, the FIRST cappuccino of your life - a cappuccino as it's meant to be, and not just a milky coffee with some aerated foam slopped out on top. The best coffee in Oxford by a country mile, and I wouldn't be surprised if it's amongst the best in this dismal country - it pushes the Monmouth coffee houses in London, for those that know them, close. Only problem is, it's small and there's only one of them - could the owners, if they're reading, please open a couple more!
