Being used to a small, private optician I wasn't sure what to expect from Vision Express, but was plesantly surprised. I went for a check up (£20), at which they advised me my prescription hadn't changed significantly so there was no point in my paying them for new glasses.
On another occasion, they were more than happy to sort out (reinsert lens, unbend frame) a pair of glasses that I'd managed to sit on. For no charge, and they didn't even supply the glasses in the first place.
