Now under a new tenancy couple, the pub has undergone a return to being a pub and not so much of a theme site. Guest beers now change every couple of weeks and a new food approach has re-vitalised the whole place. They seem to have 3-4 guest beers on offer, and stock bottles of belgian beer. The lunch menu offers a nice choice, at 5-10 pounds for a meal / sandwich / salad. Much more reason to make the journey now. |

This is a prime spot to go whilst punting along the Cherwell. It had a good selection of beers the last time I went, and reasonable (although quite expensive) food. It has a large sloping lawn down to the river bank.
