Known as "The High", this road runs the half mile from Carfax to Magdalen Bridge.
All Souls College, The Queen's College, Magdalen College and University College all have their main entrance on High Street, as does The University Church of St Mary and the former All Saints Church (now the library of Lincoln College) is a prominent feature.
The road is open to traffic, but this is restricted at certain times of day.
